Online coaching
How does online coaching work?
Following your initial assessment, you’ll receive a personalised programme through a coaching app. Complete your sessions independently, share your progress and receive support through regular calls and WhatsApp. Your programme is reviewed as your abilities and goals change.
Do I need access to a gym?
Not necessarily. Your programme can be adapted to your equipment and space. Depending on your injury and goals, gym equipment may become beneficial or necessary as you work towards higher levels of strength.
Can I work with you alongside my physiotherapist?
Yes, where appropriate. Coaching can complement physiotherapy with additional structure, exercise guidance and accountability. Your programme must follow any medical advice or post-operative restrictions from your treating healthcare professional.
How often will I need to train?
Your training frequency depends on your injury, current abilities, recovery demands and schedule. We’ll build a realistic plan that you can follow consistently.
Can you help me work towards returning to football?
Return-to-football rehabilitation is a focus of the coaching. Depending on your stage, training may include strength, running, jumping and change-of-direction work. Return-to-sport decisions should involve appropriate testing, clinical assessment and any necessary medical clearance.
I’m several months post-surgery. Can I still start?
Structured rehabilitation can support people at different stages following knee surgery. We’ll review your current abilities, goals and limitations to determine suitable next steps.
How long will my rehabilitation take?
Recovery timelines vary with the injury, any surgery, your physical condition and individual progress. I won’t promise a fixed recovery date. We’ll work towards meaningful milestones and review your progress over time.
What happens if symptoms change during rehabilitation?
Your symptoms and exercise tolerance will be reviewed, and the programme may need to change. If further investigation is needed, I may recommend contacting your physiotherapist, surgeon or another appropriate healthcare professional.
Is online rehabilitation only for athletes?
No. Coaching may also suit people who want to return to everyday activities, recreational exercise or the gym. Suitability is assessed individually.
How do I get started?
Complete the enquiry form with a little about your situation and goals. We’ll discuss whether Fuel Train Recover is a suitable fit and which level of coaching support makes sense for you.
Mobile treatments
Which areas do you cover?
I provide mobile treatments across South and Central London, subject to availability. Send your postcode to confirm availability and any applicable travel charges.
What’s the difference between sports and deep tissue massage?
Sports massage is commonly tailored around training-related muscular discomfort and recovery needs. Deep tissue massage uses focused techniques for areas of muscular tightness. Pressure is adapted to your needs and tolerance in both.
Do I need to be an athlete?
No. Sports massage can also be suitable for muscular tightness associated with work, exercise or daily activities.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. I bring the portable treatment equipment needed for your massage session. You’ll need to provide a suitable space for treatment.
What happens during an injury assessment?
We discuss your history and symptoms, assess movement and function where appropriate, and talk through findings and next steps. Some conditions require further investigation or assessment by a doctor or another healthcare professional.
Can I receive exercises after my appointment?
Yes. Where appropriate, I can recommend exercises and self-management strategies tailored to your condition and goals.
How much does a mobile session cost?
An initial assessment and treatment is £70 for 60 minutes, with 30-minute follow-ups at £40. Sports massage is £45 for 30 minutes or £70 for 60 minutes. The full price list, first-session offer and block discounts are on the mobile therapy page. Confirm any travel charges before booking.
Can I book a massage if I’m injured?
It depends on your injury and symptoms. Relevant information is reviewed before treatment to determine whether massage is appropriate. Some injuries require further assessment or medical advice first.
How often should I book?
The right frequency depends on your needs, preferences and response to treatment. Some people choose occasional sessions; others prefer a structured approach alongside exercise and self-management.
